Holly grew up loving reading and writing. When she attended Brigham Young University as an English major, she realized that grammar was her passion. After changing her major to English language with a minor in editing, she delved into the world of editing and publication. She was such a nerd about it, that before she even knew she needed it as a textbook, she asked for The Chicago Manual of Style for Christmas. She got it. And she read it like a novel.
On her professional journey, Holly worked as an editor of theses and dissertations in the dean’s office in the College of Humanities. She then did an internship at Deseret Book Publishing and was then hired on as a full-time in-house proofreader. When life moved her and her family across the country, she still worked as a contract editor for Deseret Book and Shadow Mountain as well as opening a small editing company, Castle Editorial, with friends. Later, Holly worked as an editor for Atlanta Relationship Institute, editing and polishing evaluations for clients.
As time and jobs have come and gone, Holly has never stopped editing. She’s helped multiple people achieve their self-publishing dreams. She’s edited and formatted resumes and job applications to help those on the hunt. She’s perfected wedding invitations, funeral programs, baptism invitations, baby announcements, and more. She’s proofread articles, fanfiction, images, designs, packaging, newsletters, poetry, and fliers. When it comes to books, she’s worked in Young Adult, Middle Grade, picture books, biographies, adult fiction, inspirational nonfiction, cookbooks, romance, mysteries, and self-help.
Holly loves to be a support to her clients as she watches them achieve their goals. She would love for you to be the next person she cheers on.
